About me

Hi, I’m Anisha, a registered Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) with a background in Neuroscience.

I’m passionate about advocating for individuals with brain injuries, raising awareness of the often subtle and hidden communication changes that follow as a result, and finding ways to support these in all aspects of life.

As a Speech and Language Therapist, I work to ensure that people with communication challenges are fully supported and that the hidden disabilities of Communication and Cognitive Disorders (CCD) and Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) are better understood.

Communication is fundamental to everything we as a human do as well as a common source of misunderstandings. It is my mission is to highlight the complexities of communication, emphasising that it is not just about being able to talk, but share and exchange ideas, understand and connect in meaningful ways with others in both the individual’s personal/social life and employment. That’s why I’m dedicated to working not only with individuals affected by brain injuries but also with the families, caregivers and professionals who support them. It’s takes two to tango after all! (well communicate)

In addition to providing therapy for those who may be in need of it, I offer training, supervision, mentoring to Allied Health and Social Care Professionals (AHPs), as well as corporate consulting and training. I am also actively involved in research, striving to improve our knowledge of all aspects of communication, being able to repair it, its accessibility and raise public awareness.

If you have any questions or would like to collaborate, please do not hesitate to reach out and get in touch!
